Question by JAY5: what makes your car eligible for a car sponsorship? The sponsors pimp your car. And it becomes a show car.?
Is there any harm in trying it out? I have read some of what some of the sponsors require and it doesn’t seem bad. This question goes to anyone who is doing it or has done it before.

I have a sponsored “show car”
To be honest its not worth the headaches. The web sites they let you order parts from are insanely expensive, then on top of that you have to pay shipping. Even with 30% off you aren’t really getting any kind of deal over what you can get at any pepboys or advance auto parts. On top of that you usually have to wait 2 weeks to get your quote back, then hope that the supplier has your item in stock.
If you are just getting started i suggest you try ebay for parts. I know a lot of people knock ebay, but if you know what you are looking for and know what to avoid, you can get some incredible deals
